This project involved selective alterations to an existing re-purposed warehouse building accommodating the SCA management team. Parts of the building including the former lunch room had no external windows or openings and formed a barrier between 2 larger open plan office spaces at each end of the building.

Key aspects of the client brief included to Leverage / improve natural light / warmer lighting, more greenery / plants, and tie in corporate brand values and aesthetic..

The main event of the design alterations is the central kitchen or ’town hall’ space and its connection of the north and south office areas. The depressing old lunch room was removed to make way for an inspiring 2 storey volume with a series of a dozen Velux skylights bringing abundant natural light into the heart of the building, and layered with a striking timber ceiling feature baffle.

Other notable features include a double height trellis ‘green’ wall, cabinets with integrated planter boxes, custom hardwood timber batten screening, a new boardroom with an impressive 6m long bespoke featured Blackbutt table (by Timber & Tide in Noosa), Touchwood oak veneer feature walls and ceilings, and unique 3-way pod layout workstations.

The entire interior space has been transformed from dull and depressing to an inspiring and uplifting place to work, with greater capacity for the organisation to grow, and has been a flagship project for our firm in 2025.
