Coolum Ridge
This is a townhouse project comprising 7 dwellings on a tapering 1100m2 site. The irregular shape of the site required atypical dwelling plan types with unique floor plans for both the front and rear facing 3 bedroom dwellings. The yield had to reach 7 dwellings to ensure project feasibility hence the 5 typical dwellings in the middle had to work with a very small footprint, with the main living areas split over both ground and upper floor.
The unique features of this modest development are a striking angular box form on the street elevation which is a standout feature on Jarnahill Drive, and the inclusion of individual swimming ‘plunge’ pools in the first 4 dwellings. Despite their tight footprint the middle 2 bedders feel spacious, with corner opening sliding doors maximising the connection between indoor and out, and with more generous upper floor space that draws breezes throughout whilst maintaining privacy and functionality.
